Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This Privacy Policy is the notice given by MLV Empire ("MLV Empire", "we", "us") under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA"). It explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you can access and correct it. It applies to this website (mlvempire.my), to enquiries you send us, and to the products and services we sell, set up and support.
1. Who is responsible for your data
MLV Empire (SSM 202603009657 (CA0415143-T)), No. 39, Jalan Perjiranan 10/14, Bandar Dato Onn, 81100 Johor Bahru, Johor, is the data user for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it at hello@mlvempire.my.
2. Personal data we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number, company name and the content of your message, when you email us or use an enquiry form on this website.
- Customer and account data: the names, work email addresses and phone numbers of your business's contacts and of the people who use the products you subscribe to, together with billing details such as invoices and payment records.
- Support data: what you tell us when you ask for help, and the technical details needed to resolve it.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time, and referring page, recorded in server logs when you visit this website or use a product.
We collect this data from you directly, from the business you work for when it sets up your account, and automatically when you use our website or products. This website does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
3. Why we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes;
- to provide, set up, support and bill for the products and services you buy;
- to send service messages, such as invoices, renewal reminders and important changes;
- to keep our website and services secure and to investigate misuse;
- to improve our website, products and services;
- with your consent, to send you news about our products, which you can stop at any time;
- to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
4. Is it compulsory to give us your data?
Giving us personal data is voluntary. However, if you do not give us the details we need — for example a contact email — we may not be able to reply to your enquiry, provide a service, or issue an invoice.
5. Who we disclose it to
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We disclose it only to:
- Our technology partner, Asli One Global Private Limited, which builds, hosts and operates the software products we sell and carries out development work for us. It acts as our data processor: it processes personal data on our behalf and on our instructions, and not for its own purposes.
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as cloud hosting, email delivery and payment processing providers, each only as far as needed for their service.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants, auditors and lawyers.
- Authorities, where we are required to by law, court order or a lawful request.
- A buyer or successor, if our business or part of it is transferred, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.
6. Transfers outside Malaysia
Our technology partner's servers, and some of our service providers, are located outside Malaysia. This means your personal data may be stored and processed outside Malaysia. Where we transfer personal data out of Malaysia, we do so in the ways the PDPA permits, and we require our technology partner and service providers to protect it to a standard no lower than this policy.
7. Data you put into our products
If your business uses our products to store personal data about its own customers, staff, students or clients, your business is the data user for that data. We and our technology partner process it only to provide the product to you and on your instructions. Requests from those individuals should go to your business first; we will help you answer them.
8. How we protect it
This website and our products are served over HTTPS. Access to personal data is limited to people who need it to do their work, and our technology partner is bound to keep it secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commissioner and the people affected where the PDPA requires us to.
9. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to business: up to two years.
- Customer, account and billing records: for as long as you are a customer, and afterwards for as long as Malaysian tax and company law requires us to keep business records.
- Server logs: around 30 days, unless needed to investigate a security issue.
When we no longer need personal data, we delete it or make it anonymous.
10. Your rights
Under the PDPA you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or out of date;
- withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data, or limit how we process it, including stopping direct marketing at any time;
- where the PDPA provides it, ask us to transmit your personal data to another data user.
To make a request, email hello@mlvempire.my with enough detail for us to identify you and the data concerned. We may ask you to verify your identity and, for access requests, may charge the fee the PDPA allows. We will respond within the time the PDPA requires. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed. If a change significantly affects how we use your personal data, we will tell our customers directly.
